NBA Legend Michael Jordan Dies Of COVID-19

Michael Jordan, considered by most in sports circles to be the greatest player in the history of the game of basketball, passed away Tuesday afternoon of complications from the COVID-19 Coronavirus in a Charlotte, North Carolina hospital.

In a short statement released Tuesday night, Jordan's wife, Yvette Prieto said:

I would like to thank all of those who will no doubt be keeping our family in their thoughts and prayers as we deal with the loss pf my husband, Michael Jeffrey Jordan.  Michael was the greatest in his gane, but he was so much greater as a man, a husband, and a father.

He was diagnosed with the COVID-19 Coronavirus on March 16th, and passed away this afternoon of related complications.  Michael chose to keep his condition out of the spotlight, as he wished to keep the focus on this disease where it needed to be: On the virus.

Please do not let his death be a pointless one.  This disease can afflict any one of us; no matter how well known or wealthy, we are all at risk.  Please take all of the steps you can to keep yourselves and the ones you love safe.

Michael Jordan was 57 years old and is survived by Yvette and his 5 children.
