US Military Base Destroyed by Quds Forces

Sheiite troops attacked a military outpost early Monday morning In retaliation for the death Of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

Rockets were fired at Camp Kalsu, was a U.S. Military installation in Iskandariya, Iraq, 20 miles south of Baghdad.  Camp Kalsu was a critical post until 2011, when it was closed by members of the 1st Brigade Combat Team. It was reopened in 2018 as a transitional site, staffed primarily by Iraqi personel with a compliment of nearly two dozen American Troops

On Twitter, Kata’ib Hezbollah, an Iranian aligned Shia militia whose leader Abu Madhi al-Munandis was killed three days ago along with Soleimani, said the attack was only the first step in Iran's retaliatory campaign.

The attack began with rocket fire, with troops from the Quds Force moving in shortly thereafter.  Numbers have not been released; In fact, the White House has remained eerily silent with regard to the attack as yet.

What is known is that Qud forces do now have control of the base, and that there were both significant American and Iraqui casualties
